How We're Navigating Covid-19
As an e-commerce business selling bedding, we’re fortunate that so far, Bedfolk hasn’t been materially impacted by the crisis. We continue to operate at full capacity, with all of our staff working full time, on full pay. Our customers are still receiving their bedding just as before.
But that’s not to say we aren’t making changes to how we operate. We’re taking precautions to avoid all unnecessary travel, provide a safe & hygienic workplace for our staff & partners, and ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
In the UK, our team are working from home where possible, and rotating in (one at a time) to our warehouse to pick & pack orders – safely and hygienically. To avoid unnecessary travel, we’ve reduced our fulfilment frequency to three days a week (from five) with DPD.
At our mill in Portugal, they too are taking precautions to ensure both the health & safety of their team and the ongoing operation of their facilities. They’ve halted the welcoming of external visitors to the mill, social distancing measures are being enforced, and staff are being temperature checked before every shift.
Our mill has made special arrangements to ensure the health & safety of our master weavers.
We set up Bedfolk to help bring comfort into people’s lives, and we hope that over the coming weeks and months we can do so more than ever.
