Q&A

For years your washing instructions said not to use fabric softener, now you've started selling softener - you suddenly say to use it. Why?: Hi Adam Thanks so much for your fantastic question! It's a very valid point you raise there. We have advised against using fabric softener for Linen as most fabric softeners will not be suitable for Linen. This is because linen softens down naturally over time, and most fabric softeners are fairly aggressive and rapid ways of encouraging the softening of any given material. However, our Wind Down Blend in collaboration with the excellent company Kinn is super gentle - completely eco-friendly, plant based, natural and will simply complement the natural softening of linen and make it especially snuggly. Even with cotton, with has a more rigid and resilient structure, and doesn't soften down with time naturally, we would not recommend many fabric softeners that may contain harsher chemicals. Our Wind Down Blend is best! Can you use this with the linen bedding? Most reviews say not to use softener but my water means I can never get my bedding pillowy soft. Has this been designed with linen bedfolk bedding in mind?: Hi Bryony, Thanks for reaching out and for your great question! You are right in that many fabric conditioners are not recommended for Linen. It's a more delicate fibre and a looser weave than Cotton so it is often at its best when allowed to soften naturally over time, which it will. However, our formula here, created with the brilliant Kinn brand, is absolutely fine for all of our bedding. It's wonderfully gentle with natural, essential oils and will be very effective on our cotton and linen products!
