New Colour Alert: Introducing Clay

This Autumn, we’re really excited to be introducing some extra layers of comfort for your bed, starting with The Cotton Quilt & Quilted Squares.

When deciding on the launch palette for our Quilt Collection, we couldn’t resist including our newest colour: Clay. Originally designed as a bedding colour (coming soon), the quilt sample was too lovely to ignore, so we’re bringing Clay into the collection early. 

Behind the colour: Clay

The name says it all - the softest neutral with grey undertones, it layers perfectly with our other core colours. It looks particularly beautiful layered with Snow (soft white) and Ink (mellow dark blue), but its softness works with any Bedfolk bedding. 

Though it looks like an easy, natural colour, it was actually the hardest of our all core colours to get right. It took many months, and many lab dips, to find the perfect shade for Clay.

We rejected dips for being too yellow, too red, too gold, too warm, too cold...and finally fell in love when we landed on Clay. It’s perfectly Bedfolk - gentle, mellow, natural and calming. A timeless colour that has been designed with longevity and layering in mind. We know we shouldn’t have favourites, but if we did... Clay would be it.
