Introducing: Linen in Stripe
Bedfolk Founder & Creative Director, Jo James, shares the design idea behind our first patterned bedding style: a timeless stripe in easy, breezy linen.
Stripes always remind me of sunshine, so it felt like a lovely time to add it to our core collection, as we dream of the longer (and hopefully sunnier) days ahead.
An easy update to your home, Linen in Stripe is super versatile and made for layering (which is one of our guiding design principles). We spent a long time perfecting our stripe to ensure it complements our core colour collection (the way the blue stripe is woven with a white warp* and two different blue tones in the weft**gives a gentle chambray***effect) meaning you can update your bed by mixing stripe with your existing Bedfolk bedding. For an easy bedroom refresh, simply pop a pair of striped pillowcases onto your bed this summer.
We’ve garment washed our Linen in Stripe to give it our signature soft, natural and lived-in look, whilst keeping the stripe chunky for a modern take (we spent a long time debating the stripe thickness!).
Styling Tips
When it comes to styling stripe within your own home, we’d recommend mixing colour block Bedfolk pieces with Linen in Stripe for a laid-back aesthetic. It pairs beautifully with all of our core colours, but works particularly well with Snow (for a timeless look), Clay (for a slightly softer take) and Rose (one of our most popular and versatile colours).
This spring I’ll be bringing our new stripe into my own bedroom (with The Duvet Cover and The Pillowcase Pair) partnered with Clay Quilted Squares and a Snow Sheet in Relaxed Cotton. Our sofa and the armchair in my daughter’s nursery will also be updated with Square Pillowcases in Linen in Stripe.
The versatility of Linen in Stripe means it works across different rooms, and you can never go wrong with adding Square Pillows to any bed/sofa/armchair for an extra dose of comfort.
Need To Know
Linen in Stripe is made from 100% European Flax by our partners in Portugal. As with all of our linen bedding, it’s Oeko-Tex Certified, and garment washed for lived-in softness. We hope you love Linen in Stripe as much as we do.
