New Colour Klaxon: Introducing Nutmeg Pinstripe

Lighter days, slower mornings, and a new Linen Pinstripe to refresh up your space. 

We sat down with Emma, our Head of Product, to talk about the inspiration behind the collection, how it evolved from our original Pinstripe, and the colours she loves pairing it with most.

What inspired the Nutmeg Pinstripe colourway?   

"It’s our worst kept secret we take inspiration from mother nature and all the little things that help us relax and unwind. With Nutmeg Pinstripe, we wanted to echo the soft, warming hues of sunrise – that reassuring feeling when the first rays’ peek through the window, the gentle warmth." 

How does Nutmeg Pinstripe differ from the original Pinstripe? 

"When we launched the original Pinstripe last year, we knew we were on to something special. We designed the original Pinstripe as a relaxed take on a traditional pinstripe, to suit the mood of our linen fabrication. Always intended as its own collection, our second offering in the collection, the Nutmeg Pinstripe, offers a more casual approach, with its soft and warm hue of terracotta orange pairing nicely with our gentle off-white base, Cloud. Same stripe, different mood.

What mood or feeling did you want this collection to create? 

"For this collection we wanted to convey a feeling of soft, sun-soaked warmth and quiet nostalgia. Think of slow mornings, lived-in beds and relaxed domestic rituals; sipping your morning coffee in your pyjama’s, listening to records and watching the sunlight drift across the room."  

What colours pair best with Nutmeg Pinstripe?

• "Nutmeg Pinstripe pairs nicely with Clay and Cloud, for all things neutral.

• For that springtime colour burst, pair with Linen Sage and Relaxed Honey.

• To add a bit of depth, pair with accents of Cinnamon and Sea."
