Is there anything more magical than ending your day with this simple comfort? We think not.
The world around us is hectic enough and a good night time routine is more than necessary. So, when our pals at Bedfolk asked us about ours, we knew we had to share our favourite selection of teas that will help the rest of the world melt away.
Herbal teas are the real winner when it comes to unwinding – naturally caffeine free, they provide a hug in a mug and help your brain and body wind down. Here are some of our favourites…
Could we start anywhere else? Once associated with your nan, now a staple of your cupboard. The chamomile flower is celebrated around the world for its benefits, which include calming, aiding sleep and supporting digestion.
Most chamomile teas are made by crushing the flowers (no thanks!) but the best chamomile tea comes from brewing the whole flowers which is what we’ve always done. We love ours pure, but you can also add a little honey to sweeten.
Packed with lemon balm, valerian and chamomile, this one is a total winner in a big mug after a long day. Valerian has been used for centuries to help as a sleep aid and maintaining good cognitive function – that means no more nervous brain noise while you’re drifting off.
With a name like snooze, this brew has always got a special place on our nightstand. Snooze is a soothing mix of chamomile, apple and lavender – a delicious way to help you drift off into the land of dream.
If you're looking for a naturally caffeine-free brew that's similar in taste to regular black tea, this one is for you. How do we like ours? In our favourite mug with a dash of milk, whilst we watch our favourite TV show, of course.
Fancy a sweet treat in bed, but don’t want to ruin the sheets with stray crumbs? Rooibos crème caramel is an absolute must-have.
And last (but by no means least) our cold brew teas, for those who prefer a glass of cold water to a piping hot brew, but want something a little different. The tough part? Deciding whether to go for lychee and rose or apple and cucumber first...
